Have you ever noticed that babies mimic sounds and pitches before they master words? Have you seen a child transform a simple pot & wooden spoon into a drum? Did you know that children learn actively, by moving their whole bodies? By consciously incorporating music and movement into a child’s life, we can enhance all aspects of learning.

Little Friends Music helps develop not only your child’s joy in making music, but also his or her listening skills, attention span, imagination, sensory and fine motor skills, coordination and self-expression. Our classes, specially designed for children from birth to 5 years old, also offer an opportunity for you as a parent or caregiver to spend time with your child in a musical setting. Our goal is that the enjoyment of music, nurtured during class time, will extend more deeply into your daily lives.

Little Friends Music founder Lori Anderson York is a certified Musikgarten teacher and a mom. She holds degrees in music education and vocal performance, has taught private voice lessons in the Metrowest area since 2001 and is an active performer.
